When we began development of SafeCam, we wanted to ensure two things; citizens right to privacy, and the ability for first responders to access only what they need, when they need it.

SMS has been embraced by the citizens as a common form of communication. PPDTIP provides Philadelphia citizens with the ability to use this medium to anonymously message the department, and receive a response back immediately.
